Got busted :-(

I haven't gotten a speeding ticket in the USA in over 10 years, but seeing those lights turn on in your rear view mirror is the worst feeling. :/
I did get a couple speeding tickets in the years I lived in Stuttgart near the home of Porsche. At least here you can get out of tickets. Over there, you almost never get caught by the Polizei, but you receive a nice letter in the mail with your picture as you were driving the car at the speed the camera caught you. If you actually tried to fight it, you would lose 99.999% of the time.
They caught me twice with the mobile speed cameras on the main strasse driving through the town on the way to my house. 30km speed limit going down hill. You basically would exceed that speed if you didn't ride the brake all the way down the street. lol. I think they got me for going 5km over the limit which is like 3mph.

shame on you for not having a radar detector! bad bad bad, One of the best investment I made about 8 years ago when I bought my first radar detector. Now when I'm passing cars I get help from valentine one :P
for $600 that cost you for that ticket, you could of had the best radar detector plus a free night at the bar.
You could always take a online class to shave some points. My friend did it knocked of 4 point and lowered his insurance, he just had to prove to his insurance company he took the class.

What? No points removed for online class but 4 points added as credit....??? How does adding points count as credit on your driving record?

If you use a Jammer correctly and just jam a few seconds to slow down and give them a reading they will go on their way to the next victim. If you jam them to their gun then you are asking for trouble. The AL Priority by default only jams for 4 seconds to give you time to quickly slow and give them a reading fast enough that they dont second guess it.
I have heard that as well. When running a laser jammer, and you get "beamed" you need to quickly decelerate and turn off the jammer so everything appears "normal".

Search out the videos posted by SuperSpeeders and watch. You'll get used to seeing those lights so the next time they show up in your rear view mirror you won't even blink twice.

PM me if you need a guy who can help with safety class. I got a guy in brooklyn who will make it happen and will save you some time. Most likely attorney will advise to take a class. It will look better in court. Brooklyn is not terrible as far of fighting the tickets. The key is to get a local ticket attorney so he knows everybody in that court. I had a much worst speeding situation in Staten Island (Staten Island is the worst borough to fight the tickets) and got away with dismissed ticket after my attorney dell with it. Got a good guy but he's in Staten Island. Most likely they will push the court date away till your points won't matter (they are counted 18 months from the day of event).

I just got hit with 40 in a 30, he gave me a break, I was doing 50. $138, not bad. But I did some research on tickets in my state and how to 'tone them down'. After I read the articles I decided to just pay the ticket. In my state(CT) if you plead not guilty and you are found guilty the judge can actually assign you points and then you also have to pay add'l court costs and attorney costs if you have one as well. Usually they consider radar open and shut cases unless you have a really good story.
Google 'speeding tickets in NY' or such and you'll find the options you have to try to alleviate your pain. Good luck!
