2 passengers possible?
I am talking myself out of a Panamera Turbo (used) and into a 997 variant (probably turbo) IF... (and I did search many threads but not a car seat question)
Can you have two passengers, one in the front and one behind the front seat, which is moved forward, with two boys around 12-14 years old? And for a few more years?
Assume drives of an hour or two.
I would get a pdk, but that doesn't matter as no one sitting behind me as the driver.
Would both the front seat and the rear seat passenger have enough leg room? (and if its a cab, would the seat angle be too uncomfortable?)

Well, they are boys and not full grown (yet)...
I used to drive around with them both in the front seat of my speedster. A 1958 that is... Those were the days.
(I don't have them around to try it out now, and I wanted to make a decision in the next day or two)
thanks!

Darn. Why do they put those little seats in there to tease us? I think a quote I read here somewhere was correct: to get the WAF acceptance of practicality.
75% I am by myself, the other with two boys. I may be forced to get the Panamera Turbo.

I've been on some drives (2+ hrs) with 2 passengers, and we took turns to sit at the back (it was the punishment chamber). One of the friends and I are 6ft tall, and we felt cramped for legroom, but headroom was the bigger problem. Even when I sat in one back seat and threw my legs onto the other, it was cumbersome and not manageable beyond 30 min. Mine is a 2005 6 speed btw.
Advance congratulations on the Panamera then

It can be done, and if you don't get the cab, you will have a few more inches of room.
I suggest you go to the dealer and try it out. When my kids we little they used to cram in the back just so I could take the P car. (Boys) Not they are both over 6' and that is not happening.
Good Luck.

I had a relative sit in the back for about a 30 min drive and they had neck pains for days. The head room back there is laughable, he had to lean towards one side the entire ride. Also, the leg room is pretty much non existent. Even for a 14 year old, i wouldn't recommend it.

Leg room is pretty good actually. Especially if you would compare to other cars that claim to be a 2+2 like a gtr or a 6 series BMW. However the headroom is a tough one. Over about 5'6" it is pretty tough.

I have twin 10 year old boys and there is no way they would be able to stay in that backseat for that long. If I tried to make them I'd be guilty of child abuse. They only get in the car with the top down and less than 15 minutes of driving.
