IPhone 5S & 6 Hook up

I just got a 2009 911 S Cab with a Bluetooth option... Phone works fine but I can't seem to get my IPhone 5S to pair with the system for the music settings... I'm getting ready to get an iPhone 6and could use any advice on what the problem is...

Thanks

Your PCM does not support bluetooth music streaming. Use your iPod cable instead. You'll need a 30-pin to lightening adapter to connect your iPhone 5/6.

Confirming what DMZ says. The 997.2 PCM 3.0 do not support the Bluetooth A2DP protocol for music streaming. Apparently it appeared in PCM 3.1 in some other Porsche models (Panamera and Cayenne).

We use the aux cable in my car for this. The Aux audio hookup is in the center armrest if your car came with the option, but you will need the special Porsche cable for it along with the lightning adapter dmz also mentions. If your car does not have the "Univeral audio interface" installed, you can pay Porsche the typical gouge price of $470 for the parts. See the tequipment site for more info: http://www.porsche.com/usa/accessori...es/tequipment/

And I also believe the UAI option disappeared in 2010 when it became standard for the 997.2. Of course I have a 2009 and had to pay for the option...

Go to www.brodit.com, they sell a great iPhone holder for the iPhone 5 & 6 that fits next to your pcm, it's super handy since you have the phone within arms length and can control all the features.

this I say so you can plug in the iPhone cable and stream your music while still having your phone handy.
