997.1 GT3 or 997.1 TT
I should post this question on 997 Turbo or GT3 forum, but since I am a regular here and I value your opinion, so here is the question. I recently sold my belove 2008 C2S Cab with some exterior mods over the year of ownership and now I am debating between these two 997.1 Turbo or 997.1 GT3. What would you choose and why? Thanks my fellow 6speeders

Aloha 808c2s - someone offer to buy my car with a price I can't refuse. After getting into Porsche world and reading so much praise on the GT3, I am starting to think a lot about it. I found a good 2007 GT3 with 26000 miles asking for $80k. What you think bro?
Same question to all my 6speeders friends, please feel free to give me your opinion.

I think you can wiggle another couple thousands off the pricing, but only you can determine what is a good price, based on your desire and valuation of the car in question. Irregardless, make sure you can do a PPI, and see if there are well kept maintenance records from previous owners.

When I lived in GA I wanted a GT3. After moving to FL, I now want a Turbo.
The terrain is flat and straight. No point in being uncomfortable and slower to go straight. TT's my next move for sure.
Just depends.... I HAVE driven them both and I can at least make that statement. Don't listen to anyone who hasn't.....

Here's my take and opinion on this, I see questions like this pop-up all the time.
If you want a fast car get the Turbo, if you want a raw street car get the GT3.
The GT3 is a beast on the streets, some like it some don't, it's harsh, loud and uncomfortable to many. For me though, that is what I love in a weekend toy.
The Turbo on the other hand is a very fast car, it has tons of grip due to the AWD and is very comfortable. It's a car you can take out when you want to go on a comfortable cruise or some even comment it as being a great daily driver. You can easily build tons of power with this motor as well. With the Turbo its a bit more equipped than some GT3 as it comes equipped with things standard that the GT3 will come optional with, ex: Extended Leather, PCM/Nav, etc.
You really need to drive both cars, they're two really different cars, the way they feel driving wise, steering, clutch feel. The NA and Turbo motors really make it feel like two totally different cars.

I almost pulled the trigger on a 2007 GT3 with 23k miles for 74,000. I ended up going with a 2011 Carrera S since it's my daily driver. My weekend car is something else. If this will be just your weekend car I would say go with the GT3 !
