Your question is too vague to answer it correctly.

1. Are you referring to the LED strip running light that goes under your headlights like the 997.2?
2. Or you are referring to replacing the main HID lights with LED like the optional LED lights on a 991?

For 1 Yes, you can get aftermarket LED running lights to replace your factory one.
For 2, not possible unless of course you are willing to spend a large amount of money to make a custom one using parts from different cars.

Im sure some company or someone can come up with a retro fit for the 997 headlights. I have seen many BMW's add the LED rings to the headlights on even much older cars. I don't know much about this but it doesn't seem impossible.

I've been told that these are coming in end-February. I'm trying to locate the source and will post the details when I find them.

Some cheap Chinese replica?
Have you ever seen the LED bumper lights or even rear lights on the 05-2008 ?
They look like $1 pieces for me.
Never seen yet a really good quality one but I didn't search with passion either.

Cheap? may be may be not. Chinese replica? Yeh most likely. Which aftermarket lights are not made / replica from China?

I have seen, and used, several after market LED bumper lights and rear lights, happens to be "Chinese replica" and the quality is superb. Including these and these... plenty of very positive feedback from the forum.

The ones I've seen so far on the cars out there , looked realy bad.
I even saw a burnt one and I was wondering how was that possible. LED fades out with the time, but it doesn't burn. Was just weird to see it.
Glad to hear at least there is some good quality LED remplacement out there.

The "burnt" LED is probably caused by a faulty little electronic that powers the LED. It just started to happen on the taillight of my BMW (one of the 24 LED bulbs failed, can really notice it but it triggered error message). I paid US$200 for those and they performed perfectly for 5 years.

AFAIK, there are only a couple options for 997.1's LED aftermarket / replacement light. They all look very OEM-level.

carrera997re - I swear I'd keep my 997 stock when I bought it.

I have to agree with scooter. I think the aftermarket rear led lights cheapen the look of the car.
