New to 6speed & car cover question
Can anyone recommend a good indoor car cover for the 997, a web link to a supplier would be great if someone has been there?
I have made great use of this board when I was weighing my 997S purchase (traded out of my 04-E46 M3) and now as I consider some mods to the silver bullet. Thanks for all the input.

Try and get a cover made of the NOAH fabric. It's suppose to breathe well. I'll try and find you the supplier I saw in the back of Car and Driver. They're suppose to make covers that have minimal seams and fit your car perfectly.

Thanks for the info. I live in NY City so want a cover that rolls up relatively compactly so that I can stow it in the trunk when I leave the garage. I have seen covers that will roll up to a size smaller than a basket ball. I don't care if it looks great ....just safe for the finish and compact.

I've got a couple of covers....Dustop is indoor only, very soft, provides some "bump" protection but is bulky.
Weathershield is very light, compact, protects indoors and out, folds up nice and small but doesn't provide any protection from bumps. I would get the weathershield in your case....the Dustop works great if you have the room to store it and the car sits for long periods of time.
Here's a website to checkout the options:Covers

I just mentioned NOAH because eventually you might want to use it outdoors. You never know. But as some of you have mentioned, for daily drivers, car covers do more harm than good. The best thing is to leave things alone and park in the garage and just wash the car weekly or evey two weeks at the latest. If parked outside, then wash weekly. I found the ad in C&D: www.coverking.com I've never used them so Buyer Beware.

All my covers come from http://www.calcarcover.com/
They've even made a few custom ones for me. The one for our woodie is about 15 years old, been inside and out, still great
