Thinking of buying a 997

997
Arctic/Black
Sport Seats
Sport Steering Wheel
Xenons

OR

997S
Arctic/Black
Sport Seats

that's it

Not sold on PASM. Sport Chrono seems like a gimmick; press right foot down more, disable PSM, (turn on PASM if you have it) essentially the same diff? Can't decide between the S or base. Who has best mated springs for non-PASM track/street use?

Paul,
what's the msrp on them?

not sure what u need but if u want a 997 that better be the S or just get the Cayman. regular C2 is just poorly placed in between imo.

Here's my convoluted thinking:
I want the Cayman but need the rear seats. If I got the S why not get X51? Then at that price point why not wait for TT for a few more $$? Then I'm double the cost of the Cayman...
I used to order my cars optioned to the hilt, now I've swung the other way, I agree full leather is better looking, Bose sounds good, etc. but less is more sometimes...
A, base is 71k S is 81k
Marc, good to hear from you, where ya been?

Paul,
thought the same & option to top cuz we always think we'll keep it long enough.

i gave up the Cayman idea for now because i top it to 87k & laugh hard. a cold shower solved the problem. i might just get the Exige for 56k for fun but got me thinking Elise is going for a nice discount now i can have one for 45k new.

btw ur reasoning doesn't make sense because u don't need a 997... or u sold something i don't know?

anyway, good luck. if u need me to make a deal call me anytime. i'm in for group buy anytime. a 997 would be fun!

X5 going to sig other, thinking of selling Evo after winter or keeping in LA, so need a 4 seater for SLC.
What is a good deal these days? I will buy here 'cuz I have tax break for trading in TT, won't have to truck purchase out of CA
