355 raw...997 refined. How far are you driving, how important is it to start every time, how much money is left over for 3000 mile checkups, etc? Do you need a backseat?

355's a great sunday cruiser. Great sound, the whole sexy ferrari thing. But they are by no means fast. Plus if you drive it much, maintenance can be a *****.

F355 is fairly quick and handles better than most people think. The sound of the engine/exhaust is better than even my GT3 or even the 360. No one (except maybe people on this board) takes a second look of my GT3 when I take it out, but when I drive the F355, people stare, wave, smile, and gives me thumbs up. Well, actually I'd rather people not to pay too much attention. I'd say drive both and listen to both and decide. The F355 can be fairly reliable. I had a 328 and put on 11,000 miles in one year, then I put nitrous on it and blew it up. But a stock F355 should be an ok second car, of course, not a daily driver that the 997 could be. But if you are thinking about a F355, you are not looking for a daily driver anyway, right?

GT3's get me really excited. I am not sure why. I should have got one.
