finally graduated to a 997

hi all,
well I've finally graduated to a 997 after 8 yrs from a 996 & couldn't be happier. It's an '07 C2S 6spd. Finally get to drive a manual again. The color combo is almost the same as my old 996. She's bone stock, I'm just going to enjoy it like it is for now before I put crazy $$ on mods. The right tail light is chipped at the corner so that might give me a reason to get LED one soon. The previous owner removed the badges so I'm thinking of putting it back on. I may have some 997 newbie question later so please bear with me.

Good looking car. I had a 996 a few years ago. Since it was a lease, I kept it bone stock. That was the plan when I bought my 997, but that hasn't worked out so well.

The rear does look pretty good without any badging. If you decide to add any, I'd consider a simple "911." Enjoy.

idk, somehow it look too naked w/o the badges.
I have an extra Carerra badge from my 996, I might just order the "S".

Beautiful car. I like "Carrera" on the back, though if you think about it, it is a little odd given the model of the car is "911". And on occasion, the uninitiated have looked at it quickly and tell me how much they love my Cayman. I still prefer the historical reference with "Carrera" and think it's cool.

thanks

well I lied about keeping it stock for now. I replaced the pumpkins & signal lights to smoked. These are parts from my 996 (997 GT3 bumper) so it didn't cost me any yet . I replaced the stone guard b/c the other side doesn't have one.

And thus it began . . .

Where did you find the smoked signal lights? I have an LED set that's smoked, but still too light for my taste. It was the only one I was able to find that was smoked at all, much less in an LED. Yours look great.

Thanks,
yep I just couldn't leave well enough alone. I was itching to change something. The body shop that installed my 997 GT3 bumper on my old 996 smoked the side markers. It's dark enough but still light enough for the light to shine thru.
