I feel your pain, I've been buying new forever and it just doesn't make sense. My Mercedes took a beating in the used market. I'm happy buying CPO'ed Porsches for now. It's a great deal and if I decided to sell it later, I wouldn't lose as much.

Mercedes are the worst. In 7 years an S 600 dropped about 80%!in value.
At least a 3 yr old Porsche will be less of a hit, and a 6 or 7 yr. old will lose that much less as it begins to plateau in value...
