I drove an aston vantage and found it very GT like, some ppl say a 911 is a GT, I strongly disagree. A 911 is the opposite of a GT. A GT is not built to be nimble.

Check my signature. I went overboard with the .2 turbo and I sometimes think of downgrading. What would I downgrade to? Sure, a GTS? There is nothing like the turbo pull. The new m4? I'll probably get one and really regret it!

Haha so it sounds like I'm not the only one ! Yeah, the only reason I was considering a boxster is because it would allow me to keep the Benz as my daily driver and have the boxster on the weekends. Even though I agree it won't be as good as a 911. The only 911's I can afford (and keep the Benz as the daily) would be an 05/06 911 and the IMS thing scares me(weather justified or not)

Out of curiosity, dude, what do you miss in the 911, and in what area does the Mercedes satisfies you more? I actually have not even driven a Mercedes of any kind, so I am really curious to hear your point of view.

For me, I really miss the visceral driving experience of the 911. I miss pushing on the gas and hugging curves in the road. I miss the sound of the engine. I miss the 6 speed transmission. So many things.

As for the Benz - even though it's the sport coupe with a turbo, has sport exhaust, and AMG suspension, it is nothing compared to the Porsche in regards to speed, handling, and the general feeling you get as the driver.

There are some things I do* like about the Benz though. It is more practical for kids, it's better on gas, it has the creature comforts like Bluetooth audio, and the seats are actually comfortable haha

Another upside is that the Benz is brand new and has the peace of mind that comes with a full warranty.
