Bumperettes gone
#17
I need an update myself !!!
Between my son's football games & practice, I have been too busy to see the bumper myself. Body shop man texted that it 'looked good' and was finished, and painted, but the bottom valence was not painted black yet like i wanted, so waiting on that.
Hopefully tonight! will post pics ASAP !

The paint code turned up on the internet, so color perfect.
I used powder coated aluminum perforated sheet for the grill. Did not want plastic - melt issues. Behind the plastic bumper, there is only one set of insulated wiring (for license plate lamps), and the insulation for the exhaust system. So the grill is mostly cosmetic. Though, today after my first drive after these mods, I feel good bit of heat escaping out of the grill after I park. So I guess will have some good function.
I am very happy with the mods. I was worried about over-doing it, so nothing further for me. I am very happy to lose the bumperettes!

government regulations require a 5mph impact bumper. hence the bumperettes. consequences aren't any more than modding exhaust tuning etc. in most states we do what we want
