Not to get all historical on everyone, but I'm sure there are those of you like me who were born in the 50's (and earlier on here), the time before the internet and in those days there were very few of what became known as tuners. So we had to find our own ways to make our cars better (at least in our minds), and losing weight was always the easiest way to start. Now not many people would be crazy enough to take their car apart and rebuild it using titanium and other lightweight material to make the chassis lighter, so we used to just take out the stuff we did not want. That was a lot easier back then when cars did not have miles of fiber optic cables in them. Going with lightweight wheels makes a much bigger difference than you could imagine. Case in point I bought my girlfriend a BMW 650 convertible for her birthday, and then I bought myself a coupe both had Msport packages (my car also has stage 1 Dinan upgrade and shockware). Those cars came with big (and heavy) 20" wheels and runflat tires. I tried putting non runflats on the big heavy 20" wheels and was not remotely pleased with the result. Finally I went with lightweight 19" and Pole position high performance tires (car is RWD and goes in garage in winter), what an amazing difference. The car feels almost light on it's feet, not bad for a gig GT car that it is. Even the BMW guys could not believe the difference it made (we are talking about over 25lbs lost on each corner with the new setup), and I have always been a believer in losing weight were you can.

There are used SC kits out there in the $4,500 range. I know, as that's what I sold mine for. Had it running at 530hp, and it was amazing!

As Price said above and has been true for anyone wanting to get just a little faster.
Add Lightness.

As others have mentioned learn to get your car to 90% on a track. I may be at 85% on a c2 base on the track and have lots of track time in lots of different cars. Unless you have taken lessons I can assure you that you are no where near to the cars potential. I thought I knew how to drive. I was ok. It takes lots of time on the track with some guidance to get the most out of your car.

Bot accounts alert - recent join, meaningless username, copy & paste prior comment in this thread (Ynot originally posted this near the top of page 1) , 4 posts each, back to back posting, very similar account settings, etc.

So what's your real agenda? Planning on scamming users in the marketplace?

edit: a quick search of posts by this user shows the same thing being done in other threads. Also seeing multiple accounts starting with 'cvhj'

FYI - press the red '!' in the upper right to report posts like these

I live in Havertown in delco and work in Philly. Would love to get a group for cars and coffee one morning. I think there are quite a few of us and we do have some nice driving roads west of Philly.
