Carrera 4S 997.1 engine blurp fail
I hope you can help me on this, since 6 month ago, my car start to make am engine blurp only cold, the car starts perfect but if you accelerate just a little the revs on 1200 makes this blurp fail for a millisecond and the revs up normally.
Like I said this fail is only when cold, after 10 minutes the cars does not make this fail again, other way to go away the fail even if is cold is rev the car higher than 4500 rpm and sometimes the fail goes away.
Is not a big issue, but if my car had a carburetor then I shouldīt be complaining on a stupid fail like this.
My car is now at the porsche dealer it has been there for 1 week, they scan the car for any fault and they didn't find anything wrong, all sensor working perfect even when the car makes this fail nothing is register on the computer. Then they change the battery arguing that it didīt have the perfect volt or amps, the fail continue, then they say maybe coils they found 2 of them with small cracks but they havenīt change them because they don't have them on stock, they will try to find some others from another costumer car to make a test.
Have any of you had any experience like this, if you have them please let me know what was the trouble causing this fail so I can skip all this and change whatever is necessary to fix my car.
Another fact is that the spark plugs are in perfect condition.
all temperature measures on the porsche system look perfect, timing valves, exhaust and catalytic converter temp ok, oxygen sensor etc.
My PCar is a 2007 C4S with 34,000 Kilometers all services and good care has put on this car.
Porsche Dealer has been great with my problem but for now they have been enable to find the problem, I know that is a difficult fail, is not all the time, only in cold, is not a big issue, but is there you know!!
Any feedback would help

Are they really going to take coils out of a customer car to try them in yours? That doesn t happen anywhere I know. But why not just get new coils and change them out if that is suspected? Doesn t really sound like a problem. My 997.2 (which has a different type engine) also stumbles a milli second when cold at times.
Sorry that s all I got for you.

So the car is started, dead cold, you stab the gas, it doesn't really rev, maybe hear intake noise, but no revs. Then the second time you stab the gas, it revs fine? Sounds normal, my 996 and 997 did, does that.

I'm not sure if you are experiencing the same problem that I had here. Excepted it happened to me in both cold and warm. Check out the video.
And here's another post with more info.
For me the problem just went away. I'm pretty sure it's got to do with driving it more, and really driving it like a sport car!

I took yesterday my car from the dealer after changing a new battery, i am going to use the car for a while and he recommends to buy just 2 coils the ones they present some cracking, i will buy the 6. After that I will let you know if the fail goes away.
Thanks for all the info you show me and asp going to double check for any vacuum huses.
