Tranny Leak

Tranny Leak
Hey guys......Got my syncro's done for 1st & 2nd gear. All repaired and shifting is buttery smooth!
NOW......there was a puddle of fluid under my car. Since it was a good size leak, per the pics, it's been leaking since I picked it up last Saturday, 10-24-15.
My question is, when I get to the repair shop on Tuesday, what is the most common reason for a leak from the tranny after it's been open?
I will be looking under the car myself when it's on the lift and I'm very curious as to why this would be happening. Maybe there is a loose bolt? Gasket isn't seated right?
Hoping someone has had a leak and can give me insight into this issue!
Thanks in advance.

The only leak that I can attest to was on my Harley, after having the big bore kit installed, they had to remove the engine from the bike, crack open the case and reseal it..worked like a charm, was just really inconvenient. I have a feeling that a puddle that large was not caused by overfill.

I had that replaced while the Indy was in there. Turned out that the leak was from the breather because Indy overfilled the tranny.
Hope the leak stops after driving a bit. He drained some fluid but it still leaked when I got home.
I put cardboard on the floor to monitor.

I was very upset about this. I flat out asked the repair shop what the hell happen. It was obvious that something happened!!
While the shop would not confirm nor deny the crack...someone there dropped my tranny case and caused the crack. No doubt the repair shop is at fault.
He relented and agreed to purchase a new case and fix this for me. I felt sorry for him somewhat but he needs to be on top of the work being done in his shop.
Waiting for the case to get in and drop off the car and get this fixed.
Took a lot to keep my composure when I saw this crack!!

Got car back last week. New casing and best part....no leaks. Really sucked to have a cracked casing and leak. Indy fixed it though and no cost to me. All I can ask for. Happy to have my lady home!

Yes. I wasn't happy to say the least. In the end I have a new casing and comfort knowing that I have my second gear syncro fixed and a new clutch. She is riding nice again.
Now that the tranny repair $ has dipped into my mod fund, I will shoot for getting back on mods for my car.
