997.1 GT3 wing on 997.2 4S??
Simple question...will it work or has anyone retrofitted something like this.
Concern...997.1 GT3 wing (getty replica) with 1 air inlet to air box on a 997.2 with 2 air inlets on air box. See pics below. Searched and did not find much...
Thanks fellas!

I am dealing with a similar sitation. I have a 997.2 and I am in the process of installing a 997.2 OEM GT3 spoiler. You can do 1 of 2 things:
1 - cut into the GT3spoiler and install the correct inlets
2 - Install an aftermarket intake like a Fabspeed that has an open cone design.
I did #2 only because I did not want to cut into an OEM wing. I might do #1 in your case.

That is something I didn't really think about before I started shopping for a wing. I don't think it comes off very easily. I really like the look of the center reflector on my 4S. I have started looking for wings that will mount on my existing lid like the sharkwerks one below ($3150). But looking at something about half the price!

Let me know if anyone has any wings that keep original lid. Pics are always good!

Maybe you want to explore the route that I went:
I have the Getty "Pedestal Wing". The wing only replaces the movable part of the rear wing, so you don't have to exchange the whole deck lid. It has the added benefit that the hydraulic apparatus that used to operate the original rear wing stays in place (hidden), so you don't need to re-code for a missing rear wing
