While it is true that reputations have been tarnished, but it's always left to the individual to respond by making assumptions or just be silly.

The first few people that responded to my post were extremely helpful, I contacted DEKRA in Germany and they contacted KBA and they're on it, waiting for a response, so thanks to those guys for the advise!

I think so long as you do your due diligence and check to the extent Nigeria permits/allows to determine the legality of the import and the seller, what else can you do? I would just keep notes of whom you spoke with and from where to document your work. Good luck.

Maybe, but in the end would you be able to keep a vehicle that was proven to have been stolen, even though you went to the trouble of investigating (to the best of your ability) the status of the vehicle you bought? Even if the guilty parties are identified and charged, the vehicle(s) in question are now evidence in a criminal case.

That's why I'm going through all this trouble, I must know without any reasonable doubt that the car is clean otherwise I won't buy it.

Just to update, I got this from KBA today;

I have forwarded your email through the Bundeskriminalamt to the French authorities. The vehicle has not been approved in Germany, but in France.

So turns out the 911 came out of France, incidentally I've seen a Cayman which I will have a look at this weekend....

Thanks!

Some are good, mostly bad! Any ideas of how to get a few inches more off the ground?

are you on basic suspension or PASM? If you are on PASM, switching to non pasm suspension will give you 10 mm higher ride height.

You could always get a good set of coilovers. These usually allow to go up a bit. You'd want to make sure you have enough camber/toe adjust-ability to get it within specs however

I'ts a PASM and I will do just that, but how do I make sure the PASM light goes off and stays off?

I will research coilovers that will work and look at them for long term, we do not have any tracks here so I'm sure I won't miss the PASM

pressing the PASM button does not change the ride height. Just makes it stiffer. To have 10 mm right height, you would have to swap the suspension component with non pasm shocks and springs. Actually I bet the non-PASM springs alone would give you + 10 mm ride height and you can keep the PASM shocks

Yes I know what PASM does I mean the PASM error lights in the dashboard, won't they come on once the shocks are removed?

I will try the non PASM shocks. Thanks
