997.1->997.2 rear bumper conversion

Looking for help from anyone that has successfully done a 997.2 REAR conversion. I'm having some bumper (OEM) fitment issues and am wondering if I missed a step somewhere. I can't get the bumper flush to the bottom of my LED lights. The screw mounting holes throughout all line up though.

Thanks !

I don't think they are supposed to be flush with the bumper.

Ive been thinking about doing this to my 997 S as well. Do the bumper and tail lights mounting holes all match up with the 997.2 parts?...or are there are modifications that need to be made?

Jason's write up is amazing. I didn't even bother buying a new bumper bracket. There are two holes that don't line up (hole #2,3) and I just had my shop drill through the oem 997.1 bracket. The bumper ain't moving.

The 997.2 LED lights will need to be shaved down a bit on the plug port to allow the harness plug side to slip over. Takes like 2 seconds to figure it out.

Best 'mod' ever. I highly recommend it. It's like night and day !

Did you get an error on your dash for the LED tail lights install?

no you won't provided you swap out the rear lighting computer that sits underneath the drivers seat (and program it accordingly).
