Cracked CF center console

Fellas my carbon fiber console has a very noticeable crack across the top. Can it be repaired? If I replaced it (very expensive) would it happen again? Maybe Alcantra? It would match the rest of the GTS inteerior, The CF e-brake is cracked also...

Porsche 997 CF interior panels are horrible. Mine isn't cracking like yours, but its separating at the ash tray area as shown at 49 seconds into the video below. Maybe an industrial adhesive will hold it?

MACarbon's core charge drop down menu is a bit whacky. I'm assuming its $1595 -$450 = $1145?

I'm working with John at MACarbon's now. My only hesitation is if I spend my money and this one cracks....

Also considering Alcantara center console (matches interior) and Carbon Fiber PDK shift (matches other oem CF pieces in car.... opinion???

@OP - does your car spend lot outside? My center console is holding up great...seem most cracks are near right at the airbag badge.

The OEM CF is notoriously bad quality. MA/DB Carbon both stand by their wares. I have many pieces from both; very high quality. Different process, I believe.

You don't want Alcantara for the center console, if you use your cup holder. Condensation or the drink itself could drip directly onto the Alcantara below it. I considered it, too, until I realized that. Painted, plain black, or CF for the center console, IMO.

Good luck.

IMHO everything is subject to imperfection.

Couple years ago we spent good $$$$$.$$ redo our backyard with stamped concrete, cherry wood patio cover, etc...6 mths later the concrete cracks...they came out fixed it but cracks again. Long story short concrete cracks...regardless so does chin spoiler scraped, oyster band scratch, and mechanical things breaks.

If my CF center console crack, I would be upset at first but what the heck...no one would see it beside you, the valet guy, and the Porsche AD service man (if he has keen eyes). My wife will never see it because she hate the car
