What other tire options do i have?
Hi everyone i have a 2007 Porsche 997s. It has 235/19 front and 295/19 in the rear. I have gone through a bunch of Pirelli and michelin super sport tires. I'm Not saying there not great tires, but is there any tire option i can do thats considered a lot better then these.

Michelin Pilot Super Sports seem to be the best from most opinions. As a value tire, I've been running Nitto Invos on my RUF C2S since wearing out the Michelins that came on the car and have been very pleased with them. On my 2nd set on the 911 and liked them so much, put them on my 928 - great there too.

What do you consider to be better? Improved handling? Improved road noise? Improved tread life? All-season or winter performance? Every choice has consequences. For example, if you choose a tire that gives you improved tried life, then you generally sacrifice handling characteristics. On the other side of that coin, a tire that provides excellent handling generally sacrifices tread life. Decide which attributes provide you with the most value and buy the tire that meets your needs.
I have tried many tires, and I haven't found one that I like better than the Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 for my 911.

our '08 c4 is wife's daily driver and we don't track it. I have conti dws on it and with 10K miles the tread still looks great. also much quieter and smoother than the Michelin ps2's that came on it. The PS2's are a track tire and seem a waste on a daily driver.

I'm running 235/35R19 and 305/30R19 Bridgestone Potenza RE-11 on my C2S and they're fantastic; I had a set on my last car as well and was very pleased with their performance. I talked to a guy at auto-x running the RE-71R which is supposedly even better!

The Continental DWS is an all-season tire. It will give you a nice quiet ride and it will give you good tread life, but the handling and grip are greatly reduced compared to an ultra high performance summer tire. That may be okay for you for a daily driver; everyone has different needs and expectations.

I ran a set of Hankooks on my wife's Cayenne. I ended up replacing them with the Conti DWS, and we went through a couple of sets of those. Both were good tires, and my wife didn't push the Cayenne hard enough to justify another set of the N-spec summer tires that were put on the vehicle at the factory.

I stand corrected on the PS2 tires not being a track tire. They came on our c4 but I couldn't wait to get rid of them. They were too loud and rough on all the chip seal pavement here. Fortunately, they didn't last long. I will stick with the Conti's or Pilot Super Sports.

Michelin Pilot Super Sport all the way...we even have Michelin on our ex-1997 Acura TL grocery getter (not MPSS of course).
One thing about Bridgestone, our Lexus has 30K on a set since brand new...very little sign of wear...too smooth IMO. Great tires.
