Today after I filled up on way to the freeway, I had a slight hesitation from take off at the traffic light, bypassing on ramp I quickly pulled over and retighten gas cap a couple of clicks, soon after I had no sputtering or any hesitation, no warning lights during this simply nothing, then proceeded to freeway and no more problems car running fine, has anybody ever had this happen to them just curious, any info would be appreciated Thanks and a Happy and safe 4th to all.

 

Haven't heard of this for years but yes I had similar experience with my 06 a long while back and others reported same. Never got to bottom of it, chalked up to a 'ghost in the machine' experience. Welcome to the club.

 

Did you top off the tank ( put additional fuel in after it automatically stopped)? Overfilling can sometimes cause problems with the emissions systems.
