Clutch upgrade?

Time for a new clutch. On my 997.1 c4. 75k miles, not so bad for the original.

Thoughts on dual mass fly wheel vs single?

Alternative clutch packages?

Factory clutch works so well (smooth, holds well even with my 485 HP, decent life), I'd stick with it. I put an upgraded clutch into one of my other cars and wish I hadn't - it's grabby on engagement from the upgraded friction material. Also, unless you want the potential to stall when leaving a stop and less smooth engagement, I'd avoid a lightened flywheel as well.

+997, I agree, OEM clutch works fine, a lot of the aftermarket clutch takes awhile to get used to and is usually hard. The OEM clutch is soft and smooth, I wouldn't change it unless you have to.

My PO had installed light weight flywheel and after market clutch for performance reasons. Transmission was making noise on low speeds. I replaced both ($$$$) as soon as I bought the car. I would always stay with stock/OEM clutch/flywheel.

Thanks. OEM is what I went with. Replace flywheel with the same as well
