Help on Pricing Exhaust

I have a 2006 C2S with an AWE exhaust. A friend of mine want to buy my complete stock exhaust minus the tips. I cant find any in the classifieds to get an idea of the price and I'm having trouble finding a complete set elsewehere. I'm thinking +/- $750 or so. Is that about right?

thanks for the help

By complete, you mean, headers, cats, and mufflers but no tips?

Tough question - what's this friend willing to pay and what are you willing to accept. Add up today's retail prices and discount by 50% - see if that gets you both to the same place.

OEM Headers aren't worth much since both the 3.6 & 3.8 use the same and anyone looking for performance improvement will switch to aftermarket or X51 versions. Mufflers and cats, kind of in the same boat unless someone sold off their OEM ones and are now converting back to stock to sell the car. I'd say if he's a good friend that $500-$600 is in the ballpark.

Is it PSE? If not, $500 or so seems appropriate

Good question White Rock. If it's PSE then it's worth a good bit more - PSE tips alone are worth a few hundred, even though you said the tips weren't included the old exhaust sale.

Stock exhaust complete about $500 without cats. The stock headers are junk. I run the X51 headers and the difference is noticeable.

The cats are the most expensive part. OEM replacement is over $1,000 each. Used they sell for $500 plus

But.

You can hack the cans and resell for $500 easily.
