"Thumping sound" front wheels 997 C4S
Experiencing a "thumping" sound (sometimes high) when turning the front wheels full range (or close to) at slow speed in my 997 (C4S 2009). Any cause for concern? Have been told that it is the "aggressive steering mode of the model makes the tires "jump". Anyone else having this experience? Thanks!/Philip

Yeah, it's normal. Happens on mine all the time. I'm not sure if the two front wheels are on a different turn radius when the steering wheel is at the end stops, or if the turn angle is just so steep that the car is pushing forward more than turning. Small price to pay for a responsive steering setup under normal driving conditions I suppose.

I agree... All of our 4WD pickup trucks even hop when in 2WD, but not the 2wd.
Mine is minor on my 08. Just have your shop look it over twice a year, even if you do your own general maintenance...Get another opinion.
Mileage on your car? Tires being ran, and wheels on the car? OEM? Sizes?
