I m ordering a 911S soon and am contemplating the 911 convetible or coupe. I like the look of the 911 coupe much better and how it handles better and is less heavy but when the top is down and its perfect weather top down motoring is priceless.

money is not really an issue but the weather in vancouver has alot of rain and not many perfect days when u can drop the top.

Im sure some people here are have traded the boxsters for a 911 any feeedback?

I went from a Boxster S to a C4S coupe and then Back to a C4S cab. I really like the Line of the Coupe better but like You, I really love driving with the top down. You will miss it.

I really didn't feel any weight difference but then I don't track the car so the difference in weight wasn't an issue.

Thumbs up Had Boxster but purposely ordered Coupe 997

I had a Boxster, really enjoyed the top down at night time in Cali...., but daytime with the summer heat and really long hair...uugghh, no likey!!

I like my 997 Coupe much better.

Actually what I really dont like is the 'plastic cheesy' back window on the Cabs! My Boxster back window was difficult to keep clear..

Buy an S2000 to go with the 997. Good ones can be had for $20K USD. Then you can have a convertible for nice days without dropping a lot of money and limiting your daily driver.

from a boxster s to a 2005 991 cab to a 2006 911s cab, on track and off the cab gives you more pleasure for the money

Agreed...... Having the S2000 for those occasional sunny days around here is great. If I had to choose only between the turbo or the turbo cab I would take the coupe. The S2000 is a blast and is very cheap to keep
