I understand what you are saying, but it seems next to impossible to put the car in first gear even when the car is rolling real slow. Kind of like when you start to slow down almost to a complete stop for a red light, but then the light turns green, so the natural (by feel) is to put into first. No doing, to much resistance going into first gear so I have to leave it in second which (feels) to be the wrong gear to start back up in even when the car is still rolling at a few MPH. I've tried with revs up, down, you name it. Still is funky.

Anyone else?
I would defininately get the dealer to resolve the issue and not accept it as "normal". Although it should be harder putting the car in 1st gear that it is in higher gears, it should still slide into gear relatively easily and smoothly. Do some testing before you go into the dealer...like is it better, worse or the same when the car has been driven awhile. It may simply be a linkage adjustment. It may also be an extremely tight synco that will become looser down the road. Since it's under warranty, try forcing it in each time you slow down and see if that loosens it up. It should slide in at any speed below 25 mph. ANY gear grinding at all would warrant a trip to the dealer.

Good luck.

Either way, I would still put in on the record at the dealer that you are having this problem in case anything happens in the future.

Good luck.
