did you do a base line dyno before install?
how long does the entire install take from start to finish?
what psi is it running at?
this is the first one in the states, right?
what kind of "hang ups" did you encounter and when will the kit be officially ready for release?
not that it matters, but do you work for the RUF auto center?
keep us posted. curious to see the "after" dyno run.

Unfortunatly, we did not have time to dyno the car before installation.
The entire process form bringing your car in, to driving it away takes about 5 business days.
0.6 bar, so just under 9 psi of boost.
I am pretty sure it is the first one in the Western Hemisphere.
Hang-up? None, the kit is ready to go and we are taking orders as we speak.
And yes, I do work at Ruf Auto Centre.

i was just teasing about the green and yellow
holy smokes. nine psi???? that car should be making at least 460 plus to the wheels. my car is making 425 at a piddly 5psi.
what are the AF ratios at idle and wide open throttle, full boost?
how many cc are the injectors? they must be huge for that kind of airflow.
do this kit include a new clutch?
is this a customer's car or a demo for the auto centre?

well, remember DDog, the compression has been lowered 1 point (10.3:1) for longevity and reliability but will also lower power output.
the reason why the EVO kits are at 5~6 PSI is the compression is still at stock again for the same reasons.
i'm not sure how to calculate it but, on a hunch, the effective compression ratios could be the same. if it is then it comes doen to how quickly the Ruf kit boost comes on and ecu mapping.
the intercoolers are really cool. i can imagine they are engineered this way so they don't have to glom on an intercooler in the tight engine bay. not sure which is more efficient but it appears that the RUf may be, based on the size of the water jackets on BOTH intakes. i would image there would also be minimal pressure drop due to the short boost pipes.
the stock injectors were apparently up to the task for the EVO kit but todd mentioned that this wouldn't be good for reliability. i could magine the EVO uprated injectors could easily handle 9psi.
damn, piddly 425RWHP? dude, that's 500HP @ 15% driveline transferrence. you wan't more? silly me of course you do, I DO TOO .

Even with the drop in static compression ratio, if the boost is 9 psi, the RUF blower runs an effective compression ratio of 16.6:1 which is far higher than the 15.2:1 on the stock 996 running 5 psi. You would need to run 7 psi of boost to match the effective ratio of the RUF kit.

WOAH guys! Don't get ahead of yourselves! I rechecked the numbers, actual compression after the new head gaskets are installed is 9.7:1. Yes, that is quite low, but this kit was not designed for super high horsepower gains.

somebody recrunch the numbers then... what should it making at that compression level? i forgot about the lowered compression factor.
XS: have you measure intake temps yet at idle and full boost?
