Question 997 dyno's ????

What are the regular 997 dynoing at the wheels? (I would assume identical figures to the 996 3.6L's) ....and what are the 997 S Carrera's dynoing at the wheels??? Both X51 and non if possible...thanks***

Dyno's can be found on evo's website.

Dyno's vary but from what I have seen the standard 997 is in the 270 rwhp range and the carrera S about 35 rwhp above that.

At a recent dyno event in VA, a guy with a 02 996 C2 put down 230rwhp. Thought it was kinda low.

That is really low, sounds like there is something wrong with his car.

My car dynoed 282RWHP on my friends dynojet 248C....a bone stock 2002 Carrera C2 6-speed with 30K miles....I would say that car is either running on FIVE cylinders or the dyno was calibrated incorrectly by the operator.

...average *2002+* rwd 911's put down between 270-285rwhp...

What kind of dyno was this?? A dynojet, mustang dyno's read lower, etc...I would of thought the 3.8L S's would have put down a little more....(~310rwhp) Thanks for posting!

No problem. I believe it was a mustang. It was an AWD dyno and we uncoupled the front drum.

The owner just ran his Stage III S4 (biturbo) on the same rollers and got above 300whp for the first time....so it's about time I go back and see what an additional 10k of miles on the motor might due to the HP numbers.

.....That would actually be very interesting to see! I've heard reports of as much as a 10rwhp gains over that type of mileage from the motor "opening up."

I had my e46 m3 dyno'd at the evosport facilities. They have a dyno jet, and they will give you the result on a disk or a printout if you want. You can give them a shot if you want.

I think it will run you 100 bucks.
