Most of these Porsche dealers think they are Gods gift to car sales....Pioneer is actually pretty good, but still have heard alot of stories of guys going in and getting treated like bums!!!

These guys need to realize they are only selling cars, not curing cancer!

Salespunk:

I too have been unhappy with S. Ca dealers. I ended up buying from Stevens Creek in San Jose. It's worth the 5 hour drive down. If you need help there call Tom McAfee 1-415-425-1703.

Thanks for the heads up on Stevens Creek. I am in the Bay Area quite often so I will have to check them out.

Don't waste your time trying to make a deal with Beverly Hills Porsche, Pacific Porsche, or especially Auto Gallery. There is a thread on Rennlist that lists stupid quotes from and stories about dealers and sales staff.

These guys were cool. They do a lot of follow up calls but were very courteous and professional and stopped calling when I asked them to.

Speaking of Auto Gallery, I had my mind made up to purchase a '04 996 TT Cab with X50 and 3k miles from them. The day I was going to do the 2 hour drive down there, I got a voicemail from the salesman saying.... if I didn't get there quick, the car would probably be sold. He further mentioned that the market was hot for turbo cabs so it wouldn't last long. This is around end of Sept so market was soft on Turbo cabs. That was a major sign to me that they planned on playing hardball and not dealing on the car. Anyways, I ended up buying my 06 997S cab instead.

Funny part is that I checked 2 months later and the car was still there! I called the salesman and told him that if he had not called and left me the stupid message, that car would have been sold! I just laughed and hung up.

It seems sales guys on both coast are asses. When I was looking for my car locally, they would not even return my call. So I went out of state. I see the sales guy once in a while, he doesn't remember me. Once he even came up to me a said my car looked nice.
