fill up the tank and then add Stabil according to instructions. Couldn’t hurt. But, real gas freezes at -40/-50. Gas with ethanol, most, doesn’t freeze till -70. Nothing to worry about.

I just fill up the tank. It has worked fine for the last 2 winters.

I used stabilizer in the fuel in the past but have learned it is not really necessary for cold weather. Gasoline really deteriorates in hot weather. Using stabilizer when storing over the winter will not hurt but it really is not needed. I just fill the tank and plug it (maintainer) in.

Unless the fuel you have in the tank is ethanol free, whether hot or cold, the ethanol can separate from the gasoline into two distinct layers and cause you issues.
