Back in a Porsche | 997.2 Carrera
Hello, I am back! After selling my 987 Boxster I could not wait to get back in a Porsche, well, it finally happened.
I just picked up a 2011 Carrera 6-Speed. Options on window sticker:
- Platinum Silver Metallic
- Sport Seats
- Infotainment Package
- Leather Seats
- Auto Dimming Interior
- Heated Seats
- Heated Steering Wheel
- 19" Carrera S II Wheels
- Sport Chrono Package Plus
- Multi Function Steering Wheel (Leather)
The car is one-owner, originally purchased from and serviced it's entire life at Pfaff Porsche in Toronto and is in completely stock form. Plans for the near future include wheels, exhaust, suspension, a bit of aero, freshening of the calipers, and some minor TLC (removal of one PDR dent, replacement of clear film on quarters, paint correction, etc.)
I will create a build/progression thread once the first parts arrive!
Here are some photos I took yesterday in stock form before the modding begins:

Thank you, the steering wheel was an option. I believe it came standard on the 997.2 GTS and Turbo models.

Not on the GTS (I have one) and I'm pretty sure it wasn't standard on the Turbo either. I may well be wrong but I don't think the flat bottom wheel is an option from Porsche period so my guess is that it's a stock wheel that's been custom rebuilt. But I agree that it looks totally factory finish wise.

Beautiful pictures and car - congratulations.
What are you doing for wheels - I have custom, fully polished then clear powdercoated (for no future repolishing maintenance) Champion RS171s for sale in a NB fitment if that's a style you like. They're forged and very light - even lighter than my current Forgelines. My car is GT silver. Here's what they look like and the ad is here - https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...wheels-nb.html
