Own Versus Lease

I picked up my C4 Cab this morning from dealer and decided to buy and finance the car instead of a 48 mos lease. The monthly payments were less and with the finance I was paying more in towards the car then with a lease. The lesser interest over the finance allowed more to pay towards the car and numbers reflected that say, after 2-3 yrs into the car I was paying down the car more than the lease (like a mortgage amortization) Not to mention the tax credit you save with a finance and lose with a lease. Here's the car finally home. I just love the wide rear end ....

Power obviously much less. The esthetics of the car, esp. the rear being wider and the rear tires now having a 11.5 rear rim and 305/30zr19 tire makes the back look sick! As a daily driving car i can already see the greater ease of shifting with sport shifter and upgraded digital readouts on the dash incl. a far more efficient heating/AC system making my life easier. The interior compartment on the 997 is far nicer than the turbo's...And BTW, it took no more time for me to get home from the dealer as it did when i picked up the turbo!

I think the tax-credit thing he's referring to is upon trading in the car there will be a sales tax credit toward next vehicle. With regards to getting home after picking up, the Turbo most certainly would have made it home sooner lest you forgot we went east for some "entertainment".
