Anyone else not like their DSC sport PASM replacement suspension module

So I have a recent new to me, 997.2 C4S and everyone said to get the DSCsport suspension module as it was wonderful. Well I HATE IT. In normal mode car feels like bouncing all over and in sport I have no idea what suspension going to do. Turn in horrible in either mode. Is mine defective?

Nope, you're the only one.

Take the box out, look up the YouTube video on customizing it, then tweak the profiles to better match how you want it to feel. Sounds like you need stiffen the table in the lower G section.

It's also possible the previous owner had a much stiffer custom profile. Try loading base setting and take it from there as it should be a night and day difference.

Need more info than "I hate it" and it "feels like it's bouncing." Does your vehicle have any existing mods? What setting/profile do you have loaded in your DSC?

I'm surprised. I have the same car and it made a noticeable difference in the handling, all positive.

Good thing is, you can list it for almost what you paid and it will sell instantly!

Let me give more detail

I have put a few hundred miles on it now and can say yes I am going to have to get serious about making changes via software myself. As for more detailed feedback. In normal mode I swear there is so much motion going on that it affects my pdk downshifting. Pdk slams which it did not do prior Normal mode feel that the car floats and that anytime push the all wheel drive that the suspension has no idea what to do to balance the car. I guess that is where my biggest complaint overall comes from even in sport mode. I have a stage 2 Audi S7 so get the awd under power concept.

Now did try launch control setting with DSC and that works great! Really felt like it had just right softness in rear to let car bite. I did it in combo with Porsche launch control and I swear car felt like all power going forward at launch vs previous where was little wiggle.

2009 C2S 162K miles

I am surprised there are not more complaints about DSC.... I have it and love it. Just love it as I think it fixes what Porsche got wrong from the factory. Why then did I just make a comment about more not liking it? Well the big appeal of the product is that is starts out with a softer ride. It then stiffens as needed giving you more "refinement". This immediate feeling of softness .... I am surprised so many like it. I do.

Why I say this.... Many many Porsche enthusiasts love to modify their suspensions.... it goes way back in time on this one. In my experience with other's mods, I found every one of them a harsh bone-jarring experience. The owners make comments such as "transformed" and "now a real sports car" and the like. So when the DSC box came out, my visceral reaction was that the hard core sports guys ain't gonna like it. Again, I love the DSC box because it gets rid of the expansion joint BANG when I thought it just was not necessary along with other things that "just wasn't right". My 2000 Boxster S, no PASM, was to me, a perfectly tuned system. My 2009 C2S was a handling disappointment compared to that car. To me, the DSC is fabulous! And yes, I tweaked it to be more of my liking.

Anywho.... I am not surprised a hard-core sports car guy doesn't like DSC. But as noted, you can tweak the F out of it and get it to just how you like it. Heck, just put it up to 100% all the time and then dial it back from there. Even if an owner can't get it the way they like it (it doesn't change spring rates or sway bar thickness after all), the used market will get most of your money back and the cost of installation and de-installation is 15 minutes of your time, with no special tools. In my opinion, anyone with factory PASM who are considering modifying their suspensions should try the DSC box first. It is cheap, easy, and may be just what you are looking for.... or not.

Peace
