Top Speed - 253 mph. For each mph above that level, another 8 bhp would be required to overcome air resistence.

Engine - 7993 cc 64 valve W16 with quad turbos

Interesting Tidbits

* If either an Enzo or a McLaren F1 passed a standing-still Veyron at a speed of 100 mph, the Veyron will be able to reach 200 mph before either car. The car will attain 200 mph in under one minute (55.6 seconds).

* The Veyron has two keys - an ignition key and a second key to unlock all of the engines full power.

* At full power, the Veyron's 22 gallon tank will run dry in just 12 minutes (2.3 mpg/51 miles).

* The Ceramic brakes will stop the Veyron in 9.8 seconds from a speed of 250 mph (450 meters).

* The Veyron has an air brake. The spoiler raises at 137 mph (or manual select). The car uses only 200 bhp to go 130 mph, which means there is another 800 untapped hp available at that speed.

 

The Veyron performance isn't anything special, there are handfuls of MKIV Supras (Yes, they are street legal) that hit 200MPH in less than 25 seconds, I know of one that hits 200MPH in about 20secs or less. I have one on tape!

But! They Veryron is hella exclusive and looks super crazy which makes it worth the money!

 

Here is a video of one that took it very easy to hit 201MPH, look how slowly it creeps off the line before punching it at the 1/2 mile mark.

I'm not sure. They brought it in on a trailer. Matt Nunez said it was a press car that was driven in the snow at 185 mph (I think) and it had a lot of pitts around the wheel wells. The car is owned by Symbolic Motor Cars. Here is a pic with their logo:

 

Comparing a Veyron to a modded Supra is a joke...

Im sure there are many tuned cars that can get there as fast as the veyron -

But the Veyron is something special --
