Speedart claims 405hp and 450nm with chip, exhaust and sport-cams. They claim 20hp with their exhaust system. If we add the AWE exhaust system (+39hp) and evoms intake (+15hp), to the sport-cams and chip i think that 420hp can be obtained. We all know that the GT3 is a lightweight, but the higher torque from the 3.8 can make the weight difference smaller on the road in straight line.
GT3 is the top for track freeks, but i prefer street and a 997S with PSS9 and stronger sways should be a close match for the gt3, specially if we add the engine upgrade stated above. Is it possible to improve the GT3??? Some gt3 race cars has only 400hp... reliable issues???
The deal is to have the best 997 n/a porsche for street use only, for the less money as possible: modded 997S vs 997GT3. It is possible to give the GT3 look to a 997S for less than €4k.

No contest. The X51 has all the items you mentioned, and it produces 381 hp and 309 torque. The 997 GT3 will produce 415 hp with a dry sump 3.6L engine. It revs to 8,400.
0-100 the GT3 will be about 1 second faster. On the track...no comparison.

although this is going to simply be my opinion from driving a 996 GT3 and a 997S both stock I would bet that the 997 GT3 will be faster than a modded 997S pretty easily. Remember several things go into acceleration aside from hp/tq. First off, the 997 GT3 will be lighter than the 997S, I believe it has better gearing(makes a large difference if it does), and lighter wheels(unsprung weight makes a big difference as well). The 415hp is more than likely underrated and like someone else stated probably closer to 425. The other benefit of the GT3 will be the fact that once you leave the twisties the gap ofperformance will widen. The brakes/handling capability of the Gt3 will be leaps and bounds above the 997S. With that being said, the 997S is kickass and will save you a bundle of money. Also if you are looking to street drive a lot more than you will track the Gt3 might not be the right choice. I know that my next car will be a 996 GT3, but I could care less about creature comforts.

It's bad enough when we get into these 'faster vs. better' arguments about Porsches and Corvettes/Vipers etc, but within the brand it's just silly.
Slap a supercharger on a 997S, and you'll have a car that can pull away from a 997GT3 in a straight line, and lose a little ground to it in the twisties. Overall track times will be close, with maybe a nod to the GT3.
The percentage of us who drive well enough to extract that incremental performance from the GT3 is tiny.
So, both cars will look great. The 997GT3 will be a little faster on the track, and sound better. The 997S will probably be a quicker car in the real world, with even decently skilled drivers, and will sound good, not great.
The rest is up to your subjective preferences, because both options will cost close to the same.

Mine is just coming back from finishing school. It will be interesting to see what it's putting out at the rear wheels, as I've done about all that can currently be done.
