Modded 997S vs 997 GT3
What it will be faster? The 997 with exhaust, intake, cams and ecu should have the same hp than the GT3, and once it has more cc (3.8 vs 3.6) it definitely should have more torque. The weight may be a problem for the 997S but how much difference a low options 997S will make to the gt3 in weight?
How much do you think that it will cost that engine upgrade, with the 997 aerokit and a set of PSS9? There is already anyone that makes a lower price copy of the 997 aerokit?

I have run my car against as stock 997S and walked on it. A 997S with an exhaust/intake/flash MIGHT be close to 400 hp. The 997 GT3 is rumored to be closer to 425 hp and is of course lighter. Not biased, I struggled with the decision between 996GT3/996TT/997S for a while. The fact that there were approx only 150 996GT3's made for the US market helped me make the tough decision. I still look at 997's, (Especially aero kit ones like Shawn's) and lust after the curves.

I would imagine that it would take lots of money and more than just bolt on parts to make a 997s faster than the gt3 considering porsche did put in a lot of work and research to make the Gt3 the car that it is. I think all the money for the mods would add up to the price of a gt3 in the end.
