Ungh...110s got stolen today

Subject says it all, just wanted to vent somehow in a non-violent way. The car was actually awaiting delivery to it's new owner in Oregon tomorrow, threw in a wash and detail as a bonus for the new owner...parked it on the side of the street on 4th and Folsom around 6:45 to catch Pirates of the Carribean, came back and the car was sitting on, get this, oem mercedes jacks...

*sigh* streak of bad luck happening these days, someone have a temple/holy place I can go to, to ward off some bad luck.

dayumm i can't believe that happened, I feel like I have to be weary now, not that I can do anything to stop them. Check your local classifieds and ebay. 110's aren't that common..

I think we should all start using an etch. Like they do on car windows. Or some kind of serial number.
Sorry for the loss.

Sorry to hear what happened. I think every Porsche deserves to be Valeted in a or parked somewhere nicer than on the side of the road. Also if your car is sold you shouldn't be driving it. Too much risk! We learn with experience.

absolutely right. A Los Angeles TV station did a news special on that. placed mini cams in thefront upper left of the cabin.

these guys were just teeing off on people's cars. rifling through all the contents of every storage area. taking money. driving like they were on the track and missing other cars by inches.

every nightmare you had about using a valet but thought doesn't really happen. eye opener.

Valet Option:
Is not an option...I've seen what valet parkers are capable of doing, esp. when given the keys to a sports car

Garage parking option:
Tried to get a spot in the nearby 5th st garage across from the Metreon, but I guess because of Pirates being out in theaters, it was completely full on all levels.

Wheel locks:
Guess what, I had 2 different sets of locks on each rim. And from past experiences, wheel locks only deter novices, if a pro really really wants your rims, they can swipe them just as easily...I brought my old mercedes w/ HRE 841rs into the shop once and forgot to bring the wheel lock keys/heads, but they got those things off with some specialty wrench that adapts to whatever lug-head and took the wheels off like as if the locks weren't even there...

this sucks & sorry to hear that. i'm not sure if the F110s have the Kinesis numbering in the back of the wheel. their custom wheel have it. u can trace the wheel if they show up somewhere on the market.

Sorry to hear that.

But really that area is really bad for street parking. Once I went there to see movie and force myself into parking in a garage building even though I know I will scrape heavily when I go out (and I did)...

Sorry to hear the bad news. It goes to show you that you really can't have anything nice these days. There will always be jealous people out there to take them away from you. I had a car stolen once. It was found in the next town with the custom wheels replaced by honda wheels, grills taken off, stereo equipment taken and the whole interior torn apart. One of the worst feelings ever to see that.
