Ran my car in the 1/4 mile at Moroso tonight.
I am rusty as hell, havnt done it in at least 2 years, anyhow.. Enough excuses
First run was not even worth counting. I did not go full out and ended up with 13.2 @ 100.53 Mph (Test run)
Second run was best
R/T .227 --- weak
60' ... 1.914
330 ...5.423
1/8 ... 8.326
1000 ... 10.779
1/4 ... 12.864
MPH ... 106.73
3rd was around the same 12.947 @ 106.85
I have to take into consideration it was 98 Degrees out and I only got a total of 3 runs in. Track was fairly sticky too. I am very happy just to get into the 12's I think under cooler conditions 12.40 - 12.60 is very possible.
Overall I am very happy. I also witnessed a novice driver in an 06' ZO6 do an 11.9 the car is a monster.

Shawn,
Do you really find a performance boost with EVO headers and intake using the PSE? I have a stock 997 4S, but am looking to see if upgrades like headers and intake are worth it and don't void factory warranty.
Thanks,
Ian

Yeah, Alot of fun. The only thing that sucks is the down time between runs. The place was packed. Also no A/C allowed and I had to wear long pants and a helmet in the hot weather. Talk about a steam bath.
Headers and Intake seem to make a huge difference to me. The only warranty you would loose is your headers and airbox. From what I hear they can only void the warranty on the replaced part. So who cares. I dont think Porsche has ever voided a warranty because of an exhaust or intake. the only thing you risk damaging is the mass air flow sensor if you misshandle it during the install. A replacement goes for around 250 or so.

whats the deal with no a/c allowed, do they check the light on your button before you even get close to staging area...if you are sitting in the lane next up you might be dripping water, thats the only reason I can think of

Thanks, Not sure of the elevation??? However it is florida. I dont think there are any elevations here flatest place on earth.
And yeah Eshaun it is because of the dripping water. An offical came right up to my car and asked me to turn it off.

Ill would be happy with mid 12's here in AZ. I did run a 13.1 in FL (Bradenton) in my old 993 with a few mods done to it on a perfect 60 degree night. It was one of those perfect "fluke" runs as I was consistenly running 13.6-13.8's all night.

Just kidding with ya. I am looking forward to taking both of my cars to the track in the next few weeks. I have no clue what to expect. My 930 is around 2750lbs with 530 at the wheels. My 965 is around 2950lbs with 545 at the wheels. I have no clue.
