How fragile is this car?

I was doing some spirited driving tonight/ Racing.. and every single time i tryed speed shifting into 2nd, that ***** would not go in and i would bounce off the limiter every time.. What the hell is up with this. Can this car not take an occasional brute force...

I remember hearing about an issue with the 2nd gear popping, you might need to get the cable tension checked out. Do you have the short shifter?

It's not fragile at all, just needs adjustment. You might look at your technique at the same time. Sounds more Tony Stewart than Jackie Stewart...

I agree: this car is not fragile at all. It does, however, have some difficulty getting into gear when the engine is cold, but that's all. Speed shifting can be pretty nasty for a new car. Has it been properly broken in yet? How many miles do you have?

Just came back from the dealer, i took my car in for the shifter issue among other things. They told me as long as you havent been over revving. Can they actually deny warrant yon me for this. I told him well going on the freeway onramp i cant get it into gear so it would go all they way up sometimes..

Yes. They can check the DME for over-revs and deny you warranty. I seem to remember there are 3 different categories of seriousness of over-revving. They can also tell whether you have been tracking the car or not, so beware!

Oil change: either after break -in or by the book.

what really constitutes as over rev.. not getting in gear and hitting the limiter; or miss shifting lets say putting it from 3rd to 2nd gear instead of 4th.

Bouncing off the limiter is okay. Over rev is as you mentioned when you misshift.

If you are reffering to me. this isnt my starting car. I owned a modded C5 Z06 for 3 years and traded it in for the 997S, I also have a 99 355 GTS as my weekend car.
