Advice on C2S coupe...executive demo

I'm wondering what people think the price should be on this car. '06 C2S coupe, stickered at about $93k, with nav, bose, sport exhaust, sport seats, sport shifter, plus a few other smaller options.

Never been titled, so the 4 year clock hasn't started ticking on the warranty yet. Dealer has it listed for $75k.

Big negative, it has 14k miles already.

If the car is like new and with complete warranty the price is pretty good but offer them $69k and you all should meet around $72k and get a free oil change and a print out of the PDI they should have done before selling. If they will not budge on price get new tires and brake pads.

Good Reply

At 14,000 your right about the tires they need to be replaced. Remember that there are not a lot of people buying a car with that price tag and 14K on it. The dealer will give if he knows your serious.

Tires replaced at 10k, brakes are at 50%. Car is also cpo, so warranty would be until 8/2012.

what was the car actually used for? is it a pde car? if so, stay away...

if it's a loaner, i would not touch it either.

you can bet a loader or pde car was abused and hard driven and probly not properly broken in. a PPI can confirm history and condition of the car.

Expect at least 25-30% discount off of msrp.

It's being represented as having been used by one of the dealership's managers...not a loaner or pde car. They're at 23% off msrp if they come down to 72k, but by the time you add up the shipping costs, ppi, it's more like 20%.

Hey this is the time of year to wheel and deal on the '06's.
Offer 5k less than the 75k, a coupe with those options I like.

Sweet deal. Push them a little lower (or get them to throw in some freebies).

If this is a Porsche Company car, you will not have the full warranty of 4 years. When Porsche Reps start driving these cars, the warranty starts, despited the fact that the car is not registered. Make sure you ask your dealer about the warranty start date.

Dealership sales manager confirmed that the beginning warranty date is 7/2006, ending 7/2012. I've decided the mileage is too high, and I'm too far away to effectively check it out...anyone else interested pm me and I can forward the details and contact info.

Executive loaner usually means the car has been beaten by various drivers, or used in PDE lol...

Yeah, that's the whole problem, it could be beaten to death, or driven by someone who's a true p-car afficionado who keeps it in concours condition.
