I want to put GT3 seats in my 997 4S, but have been told by my dealer (Sonnen Porsche in Mill Valley, CA) that they*have not been able to turn off the airbag warning light when the stock seats (with side airbags) are taken out.

Does anybody have any experience with this? I'm tracking my car a lot and the stock seats aren't cutting it. Thanks!

 

We have done this several times already and we are able to turn off the airbag light by properly rewiring the seat connector..

If you are near OC you can come by the shop - If you are going to Laguna Seca next weekend for Speed GT/ALMS maybe I can have one of my guys rewire it at the track for you..
