Car is not lowered and I still scrape
I can't imagine lowering my car if I scrape already. I checked the front end of the car and although I don't have any visable scratches, something is bottoming out. I think its the plastic in-front of the tires, a plastic tire shield of some sort. I sure you guys will know the proper terminology, but its making me question...is it worth it???? How do owners with the aero dynamic kits deal with it? Is it inevitable to eventually have to replace their front fender/spoiler?

yea the splash guard in front of the tires is where u scrape. it's low but it's like a soft plastic flap so touching it is no big deal. however, angle in & out driveway is a must if u drive a low clearence car. u should get used to it even if u're in a SUV or truck.

I have the AeroKit installed on my car and it is not lowered (although I love the look). I do have daily problems with the front lip scraping in and out of driveways etc.
The good part about the factory kit is that the material seems perfectly designed to not break (like fiberglass of some other aftermarketers). It simply peels off and is very flexible. I must say, I never had a problem before having the AeroKit installed.

Different than the stock bumper, the lip on the aerokit is only about 1/8" thick, so while it does scrape, and the paint on the underside of the lip is long gone, it is not noticable unless you really look close. FYI.....I was told by installer that repainting the lip is ~$150,

I like to think that you can only do so much. One week into receiving my car, I was at the dealer installing the clear bra. That is as far as I will go. I understand that eventually the bottom of the front bumper, with aero or without, will get a bit damaged. I just wanted to know how much worst the driving would become after lowereing car. Also, I would go with 20's so that does compensate for some of the drop I imagine..

I lowered mine about 1.25" and don't have many problems with scraping. I do enter and exit driveways and their ilk at about 45 degree angles, but other than that, I never worry about it. And switiching to 20's shouldn't have any impact one way or another as long as you maintain the same OD.
