Anyone else think.....
that the lines of the new Targa look much better then that of the coupe? The subtle differences just do something to the car that give it a much more appealing look to me. Its basicly just a cab body with the targa system welded in place. The polished aluminum accent strip where the windows meet the roof really stands out, especially towards the rear of the car where it comes to a point. I'm standing in front of a Guards Red Targa 4S and thinking, what if they took the stupid targa sliding glass out and replaced it with a permanent carbon fiber roof, unpainted carbon fiber hood, keep the turbo wheels and turn it into a 2S, but keep the widebody... now that would be hot!

Really? Have you seen it in person yet? I thought nothing of it from the press pics until I saw it.
That WAS my RS, I've had sellers remorse for the last few months What an absolutly wonderful car!

My dad has a 94 RSA with rims. Its really sweeet. It has 14,XXX miles i think and he got hit on the way to work in the back the one day he drives it to work. But i love black RSA they are really cool. And no, i havent seen it in person but im not crazy on the whole targa part.

Whitlock, sorry i can't agree with you . maybe it's the newness of the design that's got you.
I saw a guards red targa 4 with turbo wheels at dealer yesterday, it looked gawky. Probably partially because the rear wheels didn't fill out the fenders
very well at all, and on base 4 no PASM so ride height sucked too. Personally I would consider $10K premium for the cabrio, but I would NEVER pay the targa's $7K premium over the coupe.

whitlock, I saw a Targa yesterday and had a chance to really look it over. While I agree it looks much better in person than pic's indicate, I still like the coupe more. The aluminum strip looks better than I thought also. To me the new Targa is an improvement(in looks) over the last one.
