RUF Kompressor or GT3?

OK - so should I take a hit and get a 997 GT3 (my dealer has some '08 allocations) or use the money and get the RUF Kompressor conversion? Or should I do none of the above...

Please vote and add comments... No flaming please - I just want to know what you guys think. Both options have their merits.

I think you guys are right. The thinking is this - I will take a $15-20K hit on selling my 997S. I could use that hit money to get the RUF conversion, or just eat it and spend another $10K or so and get the GT3. It's just hard to get my head around eating $20K...

More votes and comments please! Thanks!

Chris, i have seen you post a few times about the GT3, i think it is clear that you want one and even if you get a Kompressor, it is still no GT3 at the end of the day. You then void your warranty and risk later problems with the SC, it's just not worth it.

No offense to you Mexico Blue if you read this, your car is amazing.

I just did some math... If I get a decent amount for my 997S, put the 10% down that the dealership is asking for the allocation order, and pay off other stuff in the year wait, I will only be paying a couple hundred more a month with less actual bills per month... Temptation is a *****.

Like my girlfriend says, "That's why we work."

Chris, go for the 3 but it might be tough getting a new one...allocations seem very slim so far...but if you can do it, I'd recommend the 3...good luck...

Get a GT3 Chris. I'd hate for you to supercharge your 997 and still find it lacking in some way.

The allocation is mine if I want it. It would be sometime in 2007 as an '08 model. I just need to make sure I don't get murdered on my 997S.

Thanks for all the comments guys!!
