suncoast and evo had no expalnation - actually - evo said i should have done 15 before dynos to get a true baseline - but we all know thats bs..our cars dyno at 300-310 stock..evo claims like 10hp for intake, suncoast claims 10ish for headers and giac claims 10-12 for flash..i shaould have been 325-340 hp
SAVE YOUR MONEY
(im not saying anything bad about the guys at evo or suncoast - just saying my car showed no gain on the dyno from their mods - they are all good people and run good outfits....)

Something is obviously amiss with either his tuner or dyno's.
The hp obtained from the headers on my car is not a culmination of mods. The reason I tested those headers is because I saw the same results on NA cars. Cars that I had seen in person. I figured if they got those kind of results, I would get as good or better with the SC. Well, I ended up with the exact same results, not better or worse. I was skeptical when Suncoast showed me the dynos and quoted the numbers. That's why we worked out a deal where I would test them and if they didn't produce, I would return them. They worked, plain and simple. Yes, there is a slight low end tip, but that's what happens with exhaust tuning. It's just a good design. They spent a lot of time engineering and testing to get the end result. I'm speaking from experience here, not what I read in a magazine or got quoted from a salesperson.
I have no idea what is going on with P997's car. I wish he had done the mods individually and dyno'd each one. Something is not right. The flash, intake, exhaust, headers, etc.. should get get around 20 rw peak HP. I wouldn't expect much more than that. The fact that he got zero says something isn't right. EVO thought enough of these headers to start selling them, that should tell you something....

I drove a 997s with all the mods in question except ecu flash and I can tell you there is no way it would stand a chance against a stock TT.
it doesn't come without cost though. most people advertise exhaust claims but never discuss the loss. they were upfront that you might lose a little bottom end, which i did. the midrange and upper gains more than made up for it though.

Today (12/31/06) after our Porsche MEET, I raced a 2006 C2S w/ Fabspeed full, EVO Cold Intake & NO CHIP. I have a STOCK, w/ Techart kit and 20" Wheels weighing 28 pounds more. Drivers almost same weight--
--- We started at a roll speed of 35 MPH in 2nd gear.
Believe it or NOT I actually started to pull away slowly at 140+ mph. (NECK & NECK to that point)
The only reason we as a group were able to come with was drag coefficient!!
WE felt the techart kit LOWERS the drag coefficient and the car actually starts to become more stable. The roof and side skirts make a tremendous difference also makes the 997 VERY AGGRESSIVE LOOKING TOO!! -- MY 3 cents, I was curious myself.
