I am going to check out that Dustop one... I might even just get the OEM (rip-off) one. I am a sucker for Porsche accessories and crap.

I'm still confused on why people store their cars in the winter... isn't that what PSM is for?

Sure worked last week when I hit a nice patch of ice on the way to work

They're right, the world is coming to an end. It was freakin' 40 degrees all day and sub zero at night in the Bay Area!

Didnt I sell you mine?

The TT cover will be a tight fit because of the rear wing as well as the front chin spoiler on the GT2.
My Gt2 cover was tight as it is and it was a OE Porsche part.

Again, I have no doubt it'd be fine in the snow. I am concerned with the idiot drivers here, fresh off the boat from the various 'Stans (Afghanistan, Turkmenistan, etc.) or other world-famous driver countries. They can barely keep from wrecking people in the dry, let alone in the snow. That, combined with my desire to not have to remove the undertray and powerwash the underside of my car in the Spring, are the reasons.

My A3 does yeoman's work as my daily...

You never know when Borat is gonna be out driving around.

What you said is so true, it doesnt take a whole helluva a lot to get smacked when it gets bad out and everyone drives like they have never seen the stuff.

In a 20-mile span, my friend saw 15 cars either in a ditch, upside down, wrecked, or all of the above. No thanks...

If I have to get totalled, I'll let the A3 take the hit.

Hey Chris, how do you like the A3 in terms of reliability, etc? I heard horror stories from friends who owned Audi's previously about how unreliable they are... but their new designs are very tempting..

I love it - it's like my Mk V GTI, only nicer and sexier. It has been 100% reliable in the short time I've owned it, but I had a B7 S4 before and it was completely reliable as well. I drove cross-country from San Diego to DC in it with a car full of my stuff. No problems, 22 mpg. The B7 S4 is one of my favorite cars - I should have kept it.

I bought my 997S cabrio to drive it. It inspires confidence in driving under difficult circumstances, including snow, extreme cold & rain. So far, averaging about 1000 miles per month.

For those that fear incompetent drivers wrecking their beloved Porsche, they are with us 24/7. You don't need a snowstorm to bring them out.

So did your slide into that position or park it sideways? j/k

Those are some pretty fancy all season wheels... I still remember the days I was in Maine and all-season meant hubcaps.
