Veterinarian, 51. My sports cars have all been sticks. The only tips were a couple of Audis. No choice obviously, but they do the job in the A6.
My wife prefers the MANUAL as well...LOL

currently have an e46 m3 manual, which is the exact same way i will order my next car next year, either a C2S or new V8 M3.

and on a side note, i particularly like these threads...it brings out the best in this forum - especially the people who say:

"i'm (insert age here between 15 and 25) and this is my 9th porsche and i currently have a 997TT manual and 4 other car's are manuals that cost over $100k.

These peeps crack me up...i mean, take the effen silver spoon out of your a$$ already....

i can't believe no one commented on the kid that said he's 13 or 14. unreal.

Those above are all sequentials while Porsches one is a PDK (DSG) I did not like any of the DSG trannies I drove in Audi, VW cars. Although I have to admit, way better and responsive than the tip.
I am not going to tell you not to ride but I will tell you I rode for many years and it was the stupidest decesion I ever made. I hardly knew what hit me and to my luck there was a cop right behind me as my witness. I have to go to see my prosthetist for adjustments and new parts every month and I get to meet someone each time that is going through the 1st stages as an amputee due to a motorcycleaccident.
My doctors all call them donorcycles. tkerrmd over on the 996 turbo and racing/education forum was my vascular surgeon and he brought me back from flat lining twice. He tired the best he could to save my leg but is was either my leg or my life. He and my wife made to correct decesion.
He is a miracle worker and saved my life, actually weather or not he saved my life or not he and his team of nurses are the best at what they do.

OK rant over on that! Now yep I agree about how behind Porsche is with clutchless manual transmissions. The tip sucks but this is the only way I can drive a Porsche. I hope they come out with something cool for my next car in a few years.
