Protective coating worth the price

Protective coating worth the price
I just picked up my Targa 4S. Pics to follow. Great driving car. I wonder the experience of others whether the protective coating they push for about 1k is something others have had good experience with. Thanks

The previous owner of mine had it installed. I have to say I'm not entirely sure I'd ever pay for it myself. It seems a stone did hit the front of the car (while in the previous owners hands). The mark it left peeled/nicked the coating - it actually looks like a stone chip. The cost to remove and replace the coating isn't worth it IMO.
I guess what I'm saying is if a stone hits your car, whether it it has the coating or not, something will need to get fixed. Further more, none of the fixes (paint/body or remove+replace clear) are cheap.

the protective coating they offer on interior/exterior for a new car purchase is all BS.
they just apply some polymer sealant and they warranty against any dirt or discoloration or something like that.
Just get a good detailer or diy, put on the clear bra and you could use some good products on the inerior to protect. i use the 303 stuff on my entire interior, and klasse then wax over the paint
