One of the option wheels Porsche offers for the 997 (both C2 and C4) is the Carrera Sport - it comes with 305's for both models but since the offset is a C2 offset you need 17mm spacers for the C4 rear.

hmmm, I'm planning to put Michelin Pilot Sports Cup on the OEM Carrera S wheels. The rears are 305s. Do I need spacers?

The Carrera Sport is an option for a C2 - it's a 11.5 x 19 wheel with the same 67 offset as the 11.0 x 19 Carrera S wheels. The extra width of the Carrera Sport pushes the wheel out 6mm and the extra width of the tire pushes out an additional 5mm - total 11mm more than stock. So your 305"s on the 11.0 x 19 Carrera S will add +5mm and then add the 7mm spacer and you're at +12mm almost the same as the Carrera Sport - so my long answer is "yes"

If it's already built did you order it with the 305's (the C2 comes with 295's except with the Carrera Sport wheel) or are you going to swap out when you get the car? If you're still having doubts call the guys at Wheel Enhancement (check the banner on the right side) - they are just down the street from you in Culver City - they are the experts.
