In the early 1980's when Nissan was still Datsun, my dad and his friend both bought brand-new model Maximas that no one had ever seen before. They put a Mercedes star on the hood and the center of the steering wheel and no one had any idea what the hell the thing was and they were sure interested in finding out.

This thread/post has really stumped me. I love the way my car looks with the badges............................but I also like the way it looks with no badge at all.

The wax buildup and dirt catching are really good points. I guess I could take the badges off, and see how I like it. Could always put them back on.

I changed mine twice! First I went from chrome to black and then from black to brushed aluminum.
Very easy to remove but I'd suggest putting blue masking tape around the badge and then marking where the badge should go. That's how I knew exactly where the new badge should be placed. I did use dental floss with a hairblower and yes, it kept breaking. I eventually got it off.
